I see this all the time.

"Hey my windows sticker is all messed up how do I find my windows key?"
Or "What video card do I have?"

Or even "I lost my case to XXXXXX How can i get my serial back"

1 SIMPLE answer

Download Belarc Advisor it is Freeware for home pc's , and the information it gives is just unreal.

I have heard people say "This thing knows more about my pc than I do, and I built it!!"

Here is the link

Unfortunately this will not work if you still have the factory preinstalled Win7 which uses a mass activation SLP key that does not match the Key on the COA sticker, provided for the purpose of doing a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Your options if the COA sticker key is unreadable are to do Factory Recovery from the Recovery partition or disks you made from it or order from the OEM Tech Support.

There is a way to back up the factory SLP mass activation to reinstall after a Clean Reinstall but it is not supported here.
