How to find the fake hardware configurations modified in registry

Hi All,

I'm newbie to this forum.

I have a doubt regarding the system configuration or system properties modification.
Lets say for example i have changed the registry setting from i3 process 2.2 GHz to i7 processor 3.3 GHz and exporting the registry placing it in start-up file would always remain the same even if we restart the PC . Show i would be in problems if i need to buy any computer that's been used . I take lot of used machine to create my own lab . so i would like to know if the system configuration is genuine and not fake. Can anyone let me how to do that.

I know the software called CPU-Z is used to know the system configuration. Will that software help me to know the genuine hardware configuration even if it is faked?

Hi All,

Lets say for example if i change the computer properties from i3 processor to i7 processor with fake specs in the registry. It would show fake specs obviously. How ever if we restart the computer it would come back to normal properties. so what if if i export the changed settings and place in start-up files, so it always show the fake properties even if computer is restarted.

So now my question, Is there anyway to spot-out the fake computer specs. Since i buy lot of used computers to create my own lab. so i want to find if the used computer have genuine hardware configuration or not?

I heard the CPU-Z software also shows the system hardware specs. Does it talk to the hardware and show the original specs even it was faked?
