How to fix CMD, :Access denied 5.

How do i fix Access denied 5. when am trying to shutdown my other computer with. shutdown -i.
Im not adminitrator on my network. and how do i get adminitrator if i have to before i can shutdow -i.

Win7. 32bit.

This command dosnt work: net user administrator/active:yes

Are we talking about a Domain or a HomeGroup network?

And you absolutely must have administrative access on both your local and remote machines to perform a remote shutdown between them. An "Access denied 5" error means you lack the necessary privileges.

In your first post, you wanted to remotely shutdown your other computer. Now you are talking about shutting down a friend's computer. Which is it?

If you have permission to it (know admin account name and password), then you shouldn't have any issues running the commands from the link posted earlier granted you can reach it through the network.

Or if both are connected to the Internet, install TeamViewer on both PCs (shouldn't be a problem since you have the permission!)
