Hello,

I've tried getting help for this answer on other sites and still can't seem to get the right answer. I even tried to set the laptop to an earlier time period using 'system restore', but that didn't help either. I'm fairly new to computers, so step by step help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to Windows 7 forums

We need a little more info than that I'm afraid. What is the error exactly? Filling out your system specs will also aid in getting you correct information.

If the error your getting is that "Windows Help cannot contact server" then that is not an issue with your machine. Microsoft seems to be upgrading their services and Windows 7 Help Server has been going offline for extended periods.

Hi!

What I should have said, was that when I click on the button that says Help and Support under the 'Start' button, that is when I got the message Windows Help and Support can't start. I don't know if I accidently deleted that help file, but I can't get the Help and Support file back. I even tried to set the laptop back to an earlier date, but that didn't help either. Anyway, here is what I know about my computer:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: AMD A6-3400M
Memory: 6GB (3GB usable)
System Type: 32bit Operating System

I hope that this info will be enough to help me get the Help file back. Thanks!
