How to get SSD to lock computer when I put it in sleep mode?

I like using sleep mode for a quick shut down/computer lock, but ever since switching to an SSD, it doesn't lock when I put it to sleep.

Is it possible to have the computer lock in sleep mode on SSDs?

Ok I think I got it enabled, thank you.

I thought there was an issue or something with SSDs going to sleep that doesn't allow them to work/sleep/wake right because of how they actually go idle?

There were some brands of SSD's (with one particular early model controller in combination with some computers) that had issues with sleep, that caused them to lock up. They had to be sent back for repair, etc.

So it was working properly for a day or two, but now when I put it into sleep mode it just locks the computer, but doesn't actually put it to sleep/shut it down?

And when I actually try to shut it down it just never turns off and I have to manually power it down.

Any ideas on what to change?

Ok I've seemed to have got the sleep part set back to normal where it locks and actually goes to sleep. Haven't tested the shut down yet to see if it actually shuts it down, but thanks.
