how to go about removing or re-installing (many) Windows Updates

I'm at this stage where I am utterly convinced I have far too many updates on my system. Does anyone get this? When things start going wrong, is it right to suspect that an update has broken my operating system, utilities or applications?
If I could uninstall Windows monthly patches to prove myself wrong! What is my likely chances of success? How would I go about this?
In the remote past, I have only uninstalled about six patches at a time via the system protection feature. Whereas uninstalling the complete history of patches would take considerable effort. Yet, I am convinced the effort would be gratifying. Does that sound sensible?
Is there a ready-made tutorial , or can we conceive of what such tutorial would look like?
Where would you begin? Uninstall all unpdates by writting a single batch file? Uninstall monthly or yearly patches , either ascending or descending order? Online or offline? Uninstall security updates before system and office patches, or vice versa?
I have a file of all Updates, Security Updates and Hotfixes installed. The List is around 300 lines long. The Windows 7 Convenience Roll- up is about 120 lines long.

the easiest way to clean up your comp, (and NO dont remove updates)
Use MS built in disk clean-up
check mark the system files option as well
It performs a 2 stage operation -Immediate and then when you next shutdown reboot, could take up to 30mins.

I show about 333 but I have not updated in 2017 as of yet still waiting for another hdd to add more system images too before loading any.

Yeah, I mean uninstall and remove the patches. I don't think it wise just delete side-by-side files and treat them as if they were .temp files.

You can uninstall any update you want.

That's a silly thing to want to do

I have 277 updates installed since July 2013, which was when I commissioned the computer.

It would be best just to leave your updates alone. If you uninstall them MS will very likely reinstall them again at the next update session.

If you run Windows Disc Clean up as Administrator it will clean up any remnants of Updates that are no longer required, but it does not remove the Updates.
