How to go back from Excel 2010 64 bit to Excel 2010 32 bit

I have an important program that uses a DLL that only works with Excel 2010 32 bit. I'm running Excel 2010 64 bit now -- how do I install the 32 bit version? I have the CD which has both versions on it. But when I run Setup, it gives me options that I don't understand for this limited purpose. In other words, I want to keep all my other Office applications (Outlook, Word, etc running as 64 bit versions but in the future run Excel in only the 32 bit version.

I'll appreciate your help with this very much!
/ Gary E.

As far as I know it is not possible to have all your other Office 2010 installed as a 64 bit installation & Excel installed as a 32 bit installation. It's either all 64 bit or all 32 bit.
There should be no problem running your existing versions of Word, Outlook etc. in the 32 bit version of Office.
Follow the recommendation of ignatzatsonic in post 2 & refer to the website link posted & do the change over.
I am using Office 2013 Pro as a 32 bit installation & I have not come across any limits on what I can do with it.

More help needed on this one -- sorry. However, when I started following the steps, it said to first un-install all parts of Office 2010 64 bit before the 32 bit versions could be installed -- but when I went to the Control Panel to uninstall these; the only ones I could find listed were Access and Word. So, my question is -- is there a way to uninstall the entire suite? Or how to do it?
A big thanks in advance,
/ Gary

This does seem odd. if you have installed Office 2010 as a complete installation, then it will be shown in Control Panel, under Programs & Features as Microsoft Office 2010, there will not be separate entries for each Office application.
Are you sure there is no listing there for Office 2010.
If there is no listing then try reinstalling the 64 bit version again & see what happens. If that does not work then probably the only thing you can do is to uninstall Access & Word & then reinstall the whole Office 2010 suite in the 32 bit version again.
If you have important databases or documents in Access & Word then it would be very advisable to back them up first, before doing any uninstalling & reinstalling.

Ranger4,

Typo in my message above…I can see separately Microsoft Access 2010 and Microsoft Publisher 2010. And when I checked in response to your message I see Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010. And I see that the install date for all of these was 9/17/13.

Based on your suggestions do you think it is best for me to uninstall all of these and then install all of Office 2010 in 32 bit version?

(I do have the capability to clone my hard-drive so will do that first.)

Please let me know…I appreciate your help.

/ Gary E.

Gary, your suggestion of cloning you HDD first would be a very good idea. Then uninstall all the Office items including Office 2010. After uninstalling them reboot your computer, which seems to help, before reinstalling Office 2010 32 bit version.
When you have done that check that your Office programs are working properly & you may need to do some resetting of email details if you use Outlook.
Good luck & post back if you have any problems. Just be sure to disconnect the drive you use for the clone, before you reinstall, so there are no problems with the re-installation going to the wrong disc.
Bligh.
