how to hide dual boot partitions in explorer?

i am running win 7 on a dual boot setup with xp as my other OS. the problem is i can access the other parition in explorer from whichever OS i have running (even if i have different admin passwords for both OS's). i dont want that, since i share this computer with somebody else.

somebody suggested that i use disk management, but doesnt that only hide the drive letter? i mean what if he tinkers with disk management and brought it back?

need more help

i did exactly what the steps said. booted up XP... right clicked on stop_xp and clicked merge, i did get the add to registry popup, however, no run/security/restart prompts. did a restart and see if it worked but it didnt.. both drives are still visible from both OS's explorers.

what am i doing wrong?

If you are the administrator, and the other people using your computer do not have admin privileges, you could remove the drive letters and those partitions should not appear in Explorer...at least they don't in the file manager that I use. Then lock the other accounts out of Computer Management, and they shouldn't be able to gain access.

With Windows 7 instead of Vista, you will still see the drives listed in Computer, but when you open them, they will be blank and unaccessible instead of seeing the files afterwards. Do you see this as well when you try to open the Windows 7 drive in XP, or in reverse?
