How to hide mouse cursor while typing Control Panel check box no help.

My googlefu has failed me.
Most of the returns are for solutions for the exact opposite (cursor hidden not showing)
The ones that are for my trouble send me to control panel check box that I have checked.

I am using a Logitech G500 mouse, the bloatware (SetPoint) has no cursor "hide" option. Though it does not seem to matter the driver (win 7 ultimate standard system or Logitech) I use.

Seems a trivial issue other than I have a gift for clicking the dialogue box right where I prefer to see a word that the cursor obfuscates.

Any ideas or further information needed?

Here's the way to do it within Windows 7 without any 3rd party software
Hide your mouse pointer (cursor) while typing in Windows 7

The third party overlay brings about the behavior I desire in my mouse, wish it were os integrated, but I won't complain about the color if it does the job.

As I said, I have checked the "Hide cursor while typing" box, and cursor stays on top. At first I thought it was my logitech bloatware that was making it front and visible, so I removed it, with no change.

I liked the last disclaimer of the site you pointed me to
"While this setting should be followed by all programs, it is not the case: some third-party applications, even some programs created by Microsoft (like the free WordPad editor, included with Windows), do not respect your preferences. Most should, though"

none were, not even windows os.

You might try a clean start to see if it an application interfering
