How to identify CD/DVD burner model/brand in Toshiba Laptop

How do I get the brand/make/model of a CD/DVD burner in a (Toshiba) laptop ?

My burner has gremlins ... not reading random videos and will not burn using default software
- I have found DVD Firmwares and Drivers ... and Toshiba specific
TOSHIBA CD DVD BLU RAY Burners Drivers Download - TOSHIBA Firmwares ... and want to check my sick burner's firmware
- I can burn DVDs with 3rd party burner software

As "Burn4Free" is unknown to me, I want to download their app and run it past VirusTotal etc first
- any comments on "Burn4Free" would also be appreciated

hi have you check device manager for the drive it should list it. you also could take the drive out and look on the tag what it is.
