How to Import from Old email Win XP to new email Win 7

i need someone advice, i have important several emails on my old win xp PC, there are around 7000 emails and i found it around 1 GB of mail.

now i change to win 7, i wonder, can the email imported?

What mail client are you trying to import your mail into?

well, as win7 dont have outlook, i use windows mail live mail instead.

in win xp i use outlook express.
