How to improve 5.9 PC rating. How to improve disc data transfer

how to improve my computer rating score of 5.9 while still maintaining a decent overall PC temperature; I understand that, that is the highest windows 7 will allow?

rating is low due to low disc data transfer. How to improve?

A HDD will max the score at 5.9. Only way to improve is to change drive to a SSD. I have the same "problem".

You could always invest in a SSD for your primary drive! But why do you need to, 5.9 is not bad at all? It's about right for a 7200rpm speed HD!

EDIT: Sorry indianacarnie, have had this thread open whilst replying to anothr of the OP's topics and didn't notice your post, but we did at least agree on the solution!

I have an hp dv6 laptop. Can I still modify to have a soild state drive?

Don't see why not, I'll be upgrading mine before the summer is out.

I run all my 4 laptops on SSDs and there is no problem. I recommend a 120GB size which you can buy for less than $100 (on sale).

Been using a ssd for my desktop since december of 2011 and my computer has ran flawless. My windows rating also jumped from a 5.9 to 7.9 for the hard disk!
