I have downloaded an mcml app (an mcl file), but can't figure out how to install it. In Media Center 2005, I could just drop it into the 'Media Center Programs' in the Start Menu and it would appear in media center. In seven, there is no such directory. How do I install it?

it appears that there are a number of cases where mcl suffix is used..
you don't state what type you are using..

- regarding macros: I'd tread very carefully with .mcl files..
- this may help:
Mike Lin's Home Page

- the Media Centre form is dealt with via XML..

I'm using one that just displays a web page, which points to an icon (RadioTime)

Have attached it to this post. Original extension was MCL, had to rename to TXT to upload.

The use of MCL files is "depreciated" though they still work (and is actually still required for custom autoplays)

You should be able to drop the file in %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Media Center Programs\
