Solved How to install SATA driver located in windows setup?

Hi, I've been reading tutorials on this site on how to load SATA drivers within setup but that assumes I have a driver on floppy disk or anywere else.

I don't have SATA driver, instead I wanna be able to load SATA driver which is shiped with win7 setup(located inside a setup)

win7 setup does have alot of drivers included, how do I access them and install manualy? paricualy SATA driver

It shouldn't be necessary to install a SATA controller driver. Win7 installer should have almost all SATA drivers ready.

there are some situation when setup don't load SATA drivers manulay or even worse it can't detect Hard drive.
I had such problems a week ago and also opened a thread here on sevenforums to get help around that.

that's why I'm asking this and would like to learn how to avoid posible/similar problems in the future

knowing how to load driver manualy is not bad i guess

In the rare case (normally with older IDE drives) that the storage controller driver is missing during install, resulting in nothing being shown in the drives selection window, select Load Drivers and browse to the unzipped storage drivers file externally:

Never had to do this since Win7 has always provided needed SATA and IDE drivers here. I can only recall one case where an IDE driver had to be provided from stick.

May be faster to spec the SATA controller and provide the latest Win7 or Vista driver on stick or CD.

Prompting for drivers is almost always a bad installer: ISO, burn, DVD drive, flash stick badly written, etc. Have you cross checked DVD with flash stick install attempt, or vice versa?

I had clean win7 original ISO while having this problem, but acctualy problem was in my hardware I suppose.

I hope this problem will not come again,
anyway, good or bad I just wanna know if is it possible to load *.sys file(driver) manulay trought command promt or "load driver" link?
and if yes, how?

Yes, click Load Driver link, browse to driver file on stick or CD then see if it picks it up.
