it goes till screen setup windows or repair windows press r
then shuts down

i want to install win xp on this new laptop purchased on oct 2016

bios does not have option for ide mode

yes i have disable and also enable tried both settings

You would be much better off installing XP on a virtual machine running on Windows 10. Installing XP on any modern computer is often a serious challenge, one which may prove ultimately futile. The lack of device drivers is often a problem. The XP install media obviously won't have them and most manufacturers gave up on XP years ago.

The computer in question appears to be an HP 15-ba025au Notebook. HP shows no drivers for any OS other then Windows 10 64 bit. This is not unusual. Highly doubtful XP compatible drivers were ever written.

I also love Win XP. I still have an old Laptop with Win XP. But on a new hardware, it doesn't make any sense.
Why you want to install it?
But, even if you succeed installing it, many new software versions won't run on it.
I would say that is quite impossible to install Win XP on a new laptop. To begin with, Win XP installation disk doesn't have SATA drivers. You have to add them. If you want to try use nLite.
Before you try anything, make the Factory Recover Disks, so if you fail, you'll be able to recover your laptop.
I would do what LMiller suggested: Install on a Virtual Machine.
