Um why XXXX? Have you got data on an old 2000 OS you need? :confused: if so it can be done without having to install the whole sheebang mate.

As long as you have the windows 2000 CD and your rig has a CD drive, you should be able to install it. You may need device drivers for your hardware. You could always use vmware player and create a windows 2000 VM on your current system instead.

yes I am having a senior moment:rolleyes:. I have "dropped the cd" in and it gives me: stop , you know BSOD. So, Iwas wondering if I can get windows 2000 at all, since it is giving me the stop error!!! I am not asking for instructions!

I don't have other pc's to try it on, I will try it on Virtualbox, but I am wondering should I set it to windows 7 and then install 200 on the windows 7 so that it is just like what I am doing?

I don`t understand exactly what you`re asking.

Do you have your dvd/cd drive set to boot 1st ?

Where did you get the disc from , how do you know if it`s any good ?
