how to install xbox360 pad

hi all
ive just got an xbox 360 pad for gaming n am trying to find the latest software and drivers for it.im a keyboard n mouse fan myself but when it comes to drivin games my hands just cramp up with arthritis so the pad is a must realy. i must not b lookin in the wrong places. i have read loads of forums pointing to sites with drivers and software but they look out dated. saying u need to hit f8 and disable the signature somethin or other every time u start pc. seems a bit odd to me.
so if anyone could point me in the right direction of the most recent x64 drivers and software needed i will be ever greatfull

You mean the wired USB controller? Just plug it in and it should download the drivers automatically with Windows Update.

cheers 4 the super fast reply. yeah the wired pad. i did try just pluggin it in but kept getting the driver failed to install msg. il check out ur link tho

drivers are automatic during install. they didnt use to be and use to have to DL them, but now they will auto find them. and also through windows update.
