How to keep d/ls going when I close the browser and d/l window - IE10

Hi. I just updated my W7 64 bit Ult, and as a result now have IE10.

When I start a d/l, and close the browser and d/l window (ctrl+j), the d/l pauses. If I reopen the d/l window, I see it says paused, and then i can resume. A PITA, if you ask me.

Is there any way be able to close both windows and have the d/l continue and not pause? I looked in the IE settings, but did not see anything.

Welcome to Seven Forums JDebny769. No, sorry. If you close the browser, the download window will remain open. But if you close that, you are completely closing down IE. Even Firefox now stops downloads if you close the browser. A Guy
