Hello, everyone -

I would like to keep my VPN enabled 24/7 for maximum security and anonymity.

However, when I game (online) I am not allowed to use my VPN.

How can I add an exception or modified my settings to allow my normal Internet route for gaming.

The game I play most is COD4. Currently, I have to enable/disable several times in the day.

Best regards.

In the VPN properties you need to uncheck use remote default gateway or VPN default gateway can't remember exactly what's its called atm.

Hello,

well I can disable VPN easily enough when I need to game. But rather than doing this and perhaps forgetting to re-enable when I fire up my browser, there should be a way in the network I can add a command to bypass the VPN tunnel and use my own for network for a specific application/game.

Don't know where to look though.

Best regards,

Eldin

Go into vpn connection properties.
Go to networking tab.
Choose IPV4 click properies.
Choose advanced.
In ip settings tab uncheck use default gateway on remote network.

You might have to do the do the same for ipv6

In that IP box says DHCP enabled nothing else there. Can't modify anything.

I think I found a work around. The VPN offers many gateways. None of the USA gateways have port forwarding, so when they told me to select a Gateway in another location and try the game it worked. My ping was only 79-85 and I think the lag is was minimal. Normally my ping would be 35-40.

This I believe is the only solution ATM, unless I can somehow trick the game not to use the tunnel and use my own network.
