how to know if vista to 7 upgrade or clean 7 install

dear friends

i recently bought acer 7736g with windows 7 in it
as the laptops were installed up and until recently with vista, i want to know if my machine was first installed with vista and upgraded to 7 or had a clean install

any thoughts ?

no i am not having any problem. i am just curious. also, i could not find any windows.old when i typed in the search box

Who did you buy it from?

Acer Support website shows that model available since XP, so it likely had prior OS but if store installed 7 it probably mass installed it without in-place Upgrade.

Does it have a lot of bloatware? Most tech enthusiasts won't even bother trying to uninstall unwanted bloatware as it creates even more OS corruption, just proceed directly to clean install.

You'll need the WIndows 7 DVD, though. Did your seller supply one?
