Solved how to lower gpu temp

Hey guys I have Nvidia 7900's in my M9700. One card is running at 76C and the other at 84C. I'm wondering what I need to do to lower the temps, and what exactly would that do for me?


The Fix: So I don't know why it happens, but if I make my laptop hibernate and then turn it back on it works properly with no lag. That's all I do haha. Now my cards are running at 70C and 78C. Meh, it works though.

Maybe you have dust in laptop. It will be good to clean it. If you can't do that,contact some who's working that.
Also it will be good to have a cooler on your laptop. If you already don't have,you may look at this. It's from CM and is pretty good.

Yeah I cleaned everything out with a can. It has ran perfectly before, but I'm just wondering if I should DL something to adjust the fan speed, and lower the GPU temp that way? I'm prety sure that is why it's running really slow now.

Hiya, have they always run at this temp or is this something new? Make sure your power supply is cleaned out too the best you can with canned air and a vacuum.

I believe that this is something new, but even if they ran at that temp with just firefox open, that's too hot for my liking. It can barely let me type it's running so hot.
