Is there a way to reduce the column width in Explorer to something less than 80 pixels? Some of the columns contain information that can safely be displayed in 50 pixels or even 30 pixels, and I would prefer to use that wasted space for other columns (e.g. the Name column).
You can only set the column width to a minimum of either 80 (most categories) or 40 (the only category I've found for this is #). Values inputted that are below this threshold will default to 80 or 40 as appropriate.

If you don't mind using 3rd party programs, you could look into using Explorer alternatives.
See if you can find one that allows narrower columns.
