Solved How to make laptop not hibernate?

When I close my lid, I have it set to sleep. But after a certain amount of time, it automatically starts hibernating. Is there a way to turn that off? It gets really annoying, I just want it to sleep.

Btw this might also be another problem, my laptop lags out and starts acting up when it gets hibernated for some reason.

Sleep uses more battery and produces more heat than hibernate, so you may want to power off the laptop instead of sleep whenever you do not plan on using it for a while or have it packed in bag.

Well I still want to hibernate sometimes, but I found the option. It's in the advanced power settings under Sleep. So that should be fixed. But do you have any idea of what could be causing my laptop to lag out after hibernation?

It'll be normal for the PC to lag for a few minutes while resuming from hibernate.

If it's longer than that, then you might try to disable and enable hibernate to delete and restore the hiberfil.sys file to see if it may help if corrupted.

If not and this just started happening recently, then you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this happened may help.

I use Hybrid sleep, a combination of Sleep and Hibernate.
It takes a lot longer for the PC to "not lag" when Resuming from Hibernate than it does Waking from Sleep.
For me the "Hibernate Lag" is a few minutes, then it works normally.
Wake from Sleep does not have this "lag".
I've read other people see the same thing...

Does your laptop work normally after a "few" minutes when resuming from Hibernate?
Or, do you have to re-boot to get normal performance?
