Hello,
I have been using Truecrypt for a while now. Got to thinking that my email is only protected by being hidden, probably as well as Firefox Data. Is it a good idea to move the storage locations to an encrypted disk and if so what would be a surefire way to do it safely and correctly? Thanks as always for your help!
Glenn

I see no problem by moving storage location to an encrypted volume.
But after that, every time before you start the software which have their storage folders in encrypted volume - you have to mount encrypted volume first. Because if disk will be unmounted then access will be denied (no file system).

Thanks Cree!
FWIW it just seems to defeat the purpose by leaving the TBird unprotected in the default directories. Will have to deal with the auto-mounting and disabling of the encrypted volume, but that is fairly quick. Thanks for the assistance.

You are welcome.
Yes in case when system volume in not encrypted your TB settings will be available for everyone who has physical access to your computer.
You can workaround it by installing TB as portable into encrypted volume where you will store archived email.
I didn't try this but it should works.

Hello again Creer! I think I can get by with just moving the user's default locations to the encrypted drive. I can unmount in a second and I do encrypted Mozbackup regularly. Thanks again for your time!
