I've had a McKinley headphone amplifier for about a year or so with no problem however it's now flat and needs recharging for the first time. It says it's rechargeable but being a non-techie no idea what to do next !
As Carwiz said, plug in the charger until red light goes out - usually will turn to green.
Are you missing the charger? If it is proprietary, you will have to order another charger from MFR.
Just realized you are in UK- Look at your manual - if you have a local # to call.

Use the cable that came with it and plug it into any USB ported A/C adaptor (phone charger, etc.) or your PC (when turned on). You don't need any special charger. The charge cable that came with it has a mini-USB plug on one end and standard USB plug on the other.

Somehow the USB had become unplugged without me knowing so at the time a real mystery why most of the sound went halfway through a film and obviously why the battery went. However I never knew that the red light meant it was charging - overall a great piece of equipment for those like myself with poor hearing.
The FiiO 5 is a great amplifier. I bought one last year to boost headphones while "tractoring". The little ear plugs that came with my SanDisk MP3 player just didn't do it and the headphones block the noise.
