How to recover corrupted ".AVI" Video?

Hello!:D
I have ".avi" video file, now its can't play previously it work fine (correctly play).
Then i downloaded and use "DivFix++_v0.34" repairing tool then it show its not a "valid AVI file" so how do i repair that video file?
I'm not deleted that file.

When i try to play that video file this error show in windows media player

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.":eek::eek:

If you have not already installed "Sharkey's Codecs" then do that.

And/Or

DL and install "VLC" it is a stand alone media player that will play just about any kind of media file out of the box and does not rely on installed codecs...

To start with, try playing the avi in vlc player. Let us know. You can identify the particular codecs that went into the avi with gspot.

Vlc also can't play that fie i try it then Vlc not responding for a long time and not play video.
I don't think this codes(GSpot Codec and Sharkey's Codecs) not want because of Windows media player(Windows7) play other ".AVI" video files.
This file is the only show error. by the way previously this file also play correctly.

Wow, if VLC won't play it, and as that first program you mentioned indicated, it may truly have gotten corrupted, possibly beyond repair. :(

There are several AVI repair tools out there. I don't have a specific recomendation for one however. :/

I have no faith in these repair tools. What file is this- did you use your own source or is it downloaded?

If you do have the Shark007 codecs installed,
on the AVI TAB, choosing to use Gabests splitter will allow playback of broken AVI files.
