How to recover email

Just changed PC's. Previous PC retained all business email and private optusnet.com.au emails. New PC still retaining all company email but just retaining last two (2) months of optusnet emails. The Optus webmail site still has all optusnet emails. On my new PC, I've edited ARCHIVE without success and have been unable to "recover" lost emails or retain email history beyond 2 months on new PC. I was about to contact Optus Support but just have been made aware of this FORUM.
This is my first post and not sure of process and correct forum to post.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
