Hi Guys

I've just done a clean install and rather the installing the Adobe Thumbnail fix from here - Fixes for 64-bit Adobe Reader preview handler and thumbnails I was going to use the manual method described below but cannot seem to get any of them registered.

There should be three files:
Thumbridge.exe
Thumbridge32.dll
Thumbridge64.dll
Copy all three to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe Reader 64-bit fixes
You may use a different location if you wish, but it must be visible to 32-bit code.
In particular, do NOT use "C:\Program Files".
You then need to register the three files. Register the EXE first:
Thumbridge.exe /regserver
Then register the two DLLs:
regsvr32.exe /s Thumbridge32.dll
regsvr32.exe /s Thumbridge64.dll

Can anyone help me with the exact commands to register the 3 files using the location above.

Many thanks

Danny

You need to run these commands from an Elevated Command Prompt.

Click on the Start orb, type cmd then right click on cmd.exe at the top and select Run as Administrator.

The commands seem to be listed in your post, type them exactly as shown, or cut and paste.

Thumbridge.exe /regserver

Then register the two DLLs:
regsvr32.exe /s Thumbridge32.dll
regsvr32.exe /s Thumbridge64.dll

I'd leave off the /s so you will see the info window open when you run the command.

Edit: Forgot to mention, you need to run these from the directory you placed the files in, so you need to do a:

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe Reader 64-bit fixes"

then run the commands.

Have you tried uninstalling the application?
Try booting to Safe Mode and unregister there. Then you can rename the folder or delete it. Boot normal and install.
