How to relocate win7 public folders

I am using the method suggested in the Windows 7 Inside and Out book to relocate my user files.
All seemed to be fine until I attempt to relocate the 'public music, public pictures, and others' files.
The 'location' tab of properties of each public folder will not allow/accept changes to the files address.

Is there something different about the 'public' I need to be aware of?
