How to remove language packs not needed?

Hi,

I know that this program called "RT Seven Lite" tool does have the ability to permanently remove language packs not needed from the source files of my Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate installation & my question is:

Is it still possible for me to remove permanently these language packs (all except English) after I've installed Windows 7 SP1 already?

My reason is to save some space and hopefully trim windows 7 for a little extra speed, hopefully, by shaving off things that I don't really need.

Second Question: Why the professional and ultimate editions have the same size if the ultimate contains some extra features?

As to why the professional and ultimate editions have the same size if the ultimate contains some extra features, this is just a guess. But I believe in Windows 7 each version contains the same features. Just that in the less expensive versions features are turned off (locked down) so they can't be accessed until such time the user upgrades to a more expensive version. If I'm wrong I'm sure one of the other Forum members will jump in to correct me.

The only difference is bitlocker, which is probably just not turned on in Pro ( must experiment ) as mentioned.

Language packs are done via windows update. Did you download a languge pack ? If you did, it should be in installed updates and can be removed. If yours came with language packs installed, well, that is odd.

To sum up: You can not save space by removing what is not there.
