I deleted my Links folder, not realizing that that disable anything under the Favorites on the left navigation bar. Is there a way to restore it? I already tried running "shell:links" Thanks.

you mean in start menu?
If so try this one:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

I tried the Links reg file and it didn't work. I think those are for restoring the default location of the Links folder, not the Links folder itself.

OK. Maybe you just need to make your question clear.

But let me just guess your issue.

If you just want your favorites quick list back.. Make a favorites folder and then right click Include it to library of your user profile ... same goes for LINK folder

If you want to retrieve back all the data that it is in.. Then sorry you need to do a system restore.

If this does not resolve the issue. Make a another Profile and just copy the Favorites and the Link folder
to your profile and then delete the profile that you have just created.

when u open windows explorer, to the left u can see favorites. right click on it and select restore fav links.
Also, u can browse to ur desired folder, then right click on favorites and select add current location to favorites.

Ok, I fixed the problem by creating a new folder called Links inC:\Users\username. Looks like that allows the Favorites to work again.
