Hi folks.

im having some really annoying problems concerning my ati radeon hd 5770, just like soo many other people :( it does the screen flickering, grey screen, at random times.
Ive read something about fixing this problem, by doing some nifty stuff. ive tryed doing what the following is saying, but i really cant find the tab being mentioned, so please if anyone would help me out, and tell me where to find the tab ill be very thankfull =)

(LAST PART THAT MATTERS)

I'm sure now why we get those lines. There is a bios issue.
When the clocks are going up and down so is the voltage: 850/1200 - 157/1200 - 600/1200; 1.125V - 0.925V.

So when we get spikes in frequencies meaning the gpu will clock up from idle to 850/1200 (paying games, watching movies, even in desktop moving windows) so will the voltage but that is on paper. The card has trouble to clock the voltage fast enough with the frequencies.

In ATI Systray Tool there is a tab with two choices for voltages: 1.125 and 0.925 - when I selected 0.925 with 850/1200 I instantly got the vertical lines (blue this time). When I have 1.125 and 850/1200 the card is behaving flawlessly because these settings are constant, the card when idling will stay at this speeds.

/thanks in advance, Ph

Welcome to Seven Forums Hpolsen. I don't have ATI so I can't download the tool and check for you.

I did see that same suggestion several places while searching. None said what tab the settings are on. Perhaps you can give us some screen shots of the application window, and we can figure it out? If not, I'd suggest you ask at the forum for the tool.
