How to set CPU priority to high for permanently for games?

Hello,

I would like to know how to set the CPU priority to high for permanently for games?

Is there a tweak or a free software for that?

Also,do the game boosters really work,and if they work which game booster would you reccommend to me?

Please help me.

To set the base clock or core clock to maximum (or even overclock) it is done on BIOS with high end chipset.
A laptop will never be a appropriate computer for games as high use of CPU and GPU generates a lot of heat and there is no way to drain it from a laptop. Second, laptop BIOS are very limited.

Buy a second hand desktop appropriate for games.

You don't need to set the CPU priority to high. If you do you'll have a hard time with other things that must run like the audio process or something. The only way you'll get better CPU speed is to use a better CPU. A laptop by and large were never meant for gaming, and if they are will be super expensive and you'll won't be able to upgrade hardly anything over time.

Stay far away from so-called "game boosters." They'll muck your computer up in a hurry.


The only program I know of that'll do what you want is called Process Laso, but that's more for specific applications. It's not something you'd use to try and boost CPU speed. Bitsum. Real-time CPU Optimization and Automation

Project Lasso will do what you are asking for. But I doubt it will be of any real benefit.

Adjusting priority was never about improving performance and it will do so only under some unusual situations. Priority is about resolving conflict when there is competition between running processes. If there is only 1 CPU bound application running, as should be the case during gaming, there will be conflict and applications will get almost all of the CPU time they can use no matter what CPU priority they have. This is particularly true with modern multicore processors.

Project Lasso is a powerful tool for those who are willing to take the time to understand what it does. There are no shortcuts to this level of knowledge. It is not appropriate for the casual user.

With the exception of the so called "Gaming Laptops", laptops are not good game machines. Performance is a high priority in a desktop. Low power consumption is a nice to have, but not if it seriously compromises performance. In a laptop low power consumption is a high priority. High performance is a nice to have, but not if it seriously compromises low power consumption. These priorities are inherent in the design and are not changeable by the user.
