How to set priority of 2 Lan Cards on same PC ?

hi folk's

need a little help here, i have 2 Lan cards installed in my pc one is motherboard built in and the other is a PCI landcard installed on the same mother board in its PCI slot. What i want to know how can i change the priority of the lan cards which work as number 1 and which work as number 2 ? i am unable to sort this please help appreciate it

thanks for your utmost reply but this not i am looking for, here i attach the screen shot, i have forcefully changed the name of both Network adapter to 3 and 4 but as you can see it still pick Network 6 by defaul that is i dont know how fix it and give the correct numbers to both the lan cards so please let me know thanks

in the link from MS one of the options is Automatically connect, uncheck the one you dont want

If you want to rename the network 6 to something else then click on the public, home, or work icon in the sharing center then you can rename it. The name should not matter though if you set the one you want first in that other location and its the top of the list of the two then it will use it first.
