How to set up local area in win7 ultimate

I reformat my laptop coz it got corrupt and after i reformat i see i dont have LAN in my network so i go search to device manager and i c tht yellow thngy in my ethernet controller
and yes i did install the chip set

We need far more information than you are giving us.

1. Which company supplied your laptop e.g. Dell?
2. Is your wireless adapter working?
3. If so, can you connect to the internet using that?
4. As you seem to be using the Ethernet adapter do you have an ethernet cable connecting your laptop to your router?
5. If you can't get an ethernet adapter driver from your computer manufacturer's support site have you looked at the LAN adapter manufacturer's support site?
6. We also need you to post a screenshot of your Device Manager layout without any other window covering the information, so that we can see exactly what is going on.
7. We need your complete computer specs as well, please.
