How to speed up my broadband internet connection?

Hello Guys, I'm tired of this connection speed and i want it to be faster it has 80kbPs-1mbPs speed.
Is there any program or way to fix or speed up my broadband? I need help asap

Your Internet speed can be attributed to a few different things

Line speed from your ISP

Type of line

Distance from your exchange

Time of Day

If you use a router go in to its settings and look for something like DownStream Connection Speed / UpStream Connection Speed, this is the speed your router gets and can be quite different to the speed your browser can see/use.

In addition to what Stephanie has just said may I ask, is the speed you are receiving the speed that was advertised by your ISP? It is possible for your ISP to cap your download speed based on the package and price you are paying.

Also you say your speed varies from

80Kbps - 1000Kbps (1Mbps)

This is a huge range if what you are saying is correct... Do you mean 800Kbps? If not then I would strongly consider ringing your ISP to find the problem since your speed should not vary that much. As for your initial question, there is very little you can do on your machine to directly improve your download speed and any settings that would affect it will be on your router.

I would do an online speed test. At the end it should show how your setup compares to others with the same ISP. If you are way down in the percentage then one of those tcp/ip tuners might be worth a try. TCPOptimizer never hurt my system. Just make a restore point or 2 first so you can get back old settings if something gets munged.

No, It's random, It's Usually at the speed of 30kbps - 100kbps.
and can i get the full version of TCPOptimizer? XD
and on the advertise, They said that the speed of this broadband is 7.2mbps but wtf? 0.1 mbps? LOL -___-

If you are receiving substantially less speed than your account specifies you should contact your ISP. No optimizer will do much good if there is a serious problem.

The idea is to determine if it's the ISP or the particular machine. When you call with a network problem the support technicians tend to blame it on something on your end of the wire. If you can get the specs, such as your tcp/ip settings and paste 'em into something you'll have them handy to refute the assumption that it's your PC not their network that's the problem.

The main thing I find with TCP Optimizer is if somehow the window setting got changed to something rediculously small, it may fix it up. It's not a magic pill to make a fast network. It's a quick way to put in reasonable settings. Also manually typing in numbers is prone to typos.

A mobile broadband connection throws a spanner in the works if you will and the speed that you will be obtaining is relative to your signal strength. It is also greatly affected by the time of day since many mobile data towers will limit bandwidth in order to spread the load of traffic so you would most likely obtain the best results outside of peak times and late in the evenings/early mornings. Based on my experience with mobile broadband I find that the only way to improve the speed is to try a different location

It should also be noted that they aren't designed to support online gaming or video streaming but rather a tool to allow basic web browsing and email

EDIT: If it is a wireless adapter used as an external NIC then I would strongly advise doing away with it and plugging in an ethernet cord since performance wise they aren't the best and can be limited by the USB connection especially 2.0.

So it's one of those dongles that works in much the same way as a mobile phone? If so, the signal will be subject to the same conditions as that for a normal mobile phone, i.e. atmospheric and location in relation to other buildings/objects etc. Try moving around and see if different orientations give you a better result.

on midnight my internet speed will be 200kbPs +
like 6 times faster, because on day it's 30-50kbPs only.
so maybe it's on the the traffic.
I'll try to move to a open space where signal can get to my broadband easily.
