how to stop updating

i have windows 7 rc.
how do i stop media player from allways trying to update my music/video files on launch of player.

all of my music/video is on a sperate hard drive,i have not added any thin new since i insalled windows 7 {about 6 months ago}

yet still every time i start media player it trys update library.

this is seen in the botton right of the player

it takes 15min. to complete and slows my pc down.
how do i stop it.

my pc is way above min requirements


hope somone can help

When the Windows Media Player starts, go to the bottom area, where the volume and slider controls are, and right click. There are options under the "Player" tab as well as the "Privacy" tab that should take care of your issue.
