Solved how to tell what windows 7 files i have on my USB??

Hello, A while ago i installed a LEGITIMATE copy of Windows 7 Home Premium (with my license key) and i am currently running it but i can't remember if i have a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on my USB or a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate on my USB.

How do i find out what copy of Windows 7 i have on my USB? I need to know because i am going to try out linux on my system and if i decide to wipe my system and install linux instead of the dual boot im going to do to try it out on my system then im going to need a copy of my Windows 7 Home Premium installation.


Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Alex,

One way would be to run the installation up to only step 5 below to see what edition it says it's for, then exit out without affecting your current installation.

Now to hope i didn't accidentally erase windows 7 when i installed ubuntu.. Gotta use there support forums.
