It pokes its nose in everywhere. The latest annoyance is that it's saying "Gmail requires your authorization to add your email account ..... to Mailwasher "

Why, for God's sake? I have already added my GMail account to Mailwasher.

I need to clear out anything and everything associated with Google and Chrome and start afresh.

There are many items on the internet which purport to do this. Many are old, many are inarticulate. None of them inspire confidence.

Suggestions please?

I once tried Google Chrome on a Win 7 system. A big mistake. Beside Chrome, it installed a Google "Updater" program. The Updater program caused interruptions (dropouts) in my recording studio software, even when not on line (NIC disabled).

I uninstalled Chrome and the updater but the updater still remained. I tried uninstalling it with Revo Uninstaller which has an option to search the registry for leftover items. There were still Google parts there - "it wouldn't die". I finally got rid of it by manually editing the Registry and deleting every Google entry I could find (nearly 100). If I had it to do over again I think the best way is to just do a "clean" reinstall of Windows (reformat the hard drive as part of the clean install).

Oh, as bad as that is it ...

I had already reinstalled Windows 7, a week or so ago. and I hardly have the patience left to go through the palaver again.

I have seen this moment coming for a long time. I'll make sure that my Windows !0 machine is in good health and then disable this one before ditching it.

There are two ways to totally delete Google CHrome. So first way and my recommendet one is to go to your local drive then to Program Files then find google chrome and delete it's files or even all folder and then emty recycle bin if chrome is there. And the second way is by deleting google chrome registry keys that is the most efficient one.So go to run and write "regedit" and tap run and then tap yes on the new windows displayed. Then expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then expand SOFTWARE and then click this folder RegisteredApplications. So this is full registry path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RegisteredApplications and then right click to google chrome and tap delete. If this helps u let me know down below.

Thank you General Erton. I will make a note of that.

I have already uninstalled Windows 7 and will be reinstalling it soon - I'm rather busy just now.

I never installed the plain Chrome because after doing some research I understood that Google will mess with my machine, I call it hacking activity.
Then I installed Yandex browser (Chrome engine), even worst experience with these hypocrite and stupid developers pretending the browser to automatically update anytime they want even if I DO NOT WANT TO by re-creating folders and tasks I deleted!
Then I tried SRWare Iron and Cent browsers, now I'm happy!

Very happy with this buid.
I struggled a lot to find all compatible parts since I wanted an Intel 1151 based motherboard so to be able to install Windows 7.
I chose this case because it has amazing air flow, it's sturdy and looks good.
The case included 1x 200mm front and 1x 120mm back fans, I added 1x 200mm on the top and 1x120 bottom fans and modded the panels with black stockings for women s
That's interesting looked. I'll have a read about them.

To avoid Google spying on me I use SRWare Iron for Gmail only (only 1 tab opened) and Cent browser for all other tasks.
If you have 2 Google accounts and you login in browse A, when you open browser B and you try to access your account Google doesn't know and will ask you to login.

I've looked at those browsers and downloaded them - but not yet installed either. I've also downloaded Firefox, which I used to have installed, and Opera.

Been reading reviews of them. Seems as if Firefox is no longer the bee's knees that it used to be, so I will probably ignore that.

Don't suppose there's any problem installing all of them and comparing them in action.

Don't suppose there's any problem installing all of them and comparing them in action.

I used to have 4 different browsers installed and that is not a problem, it's not like having more than 1 antivirus installed.
So after testing all I decided to kick Yandex browser for good and now I use SRWare and Cent, they are very smooth and do all I want without any problem.
Don't listen to people complaining about memory use but tell them to buy more memory, nowadays a modern multimedia computer needs at least 16GB of ram.

You could also try the browsers in a virtual machine, I currently use VMware and VirtualBox both free.

Vivaldi's developer is the one who invented Opera, he left the team and now he is working on his own business.
You can try Vivaldi though I think it's not yet ready to stand against the competition.
