Hi bobz1b, welcome to 7F! :)

You have at least IE8, right? Instead of doing all that how 'bout going to:

Internet Options >General Tab >Browsing History>Settings.

This is how I have mine set:
IE8brohis.JPG

Click OK twice then reboot your machine.

You may also want to do a Disk Cleanup.

I'm doing well, thank you for asking! ;)

Some ISP's offer plans that only allow a limited amount of bandwidth, and I think that is what the OP is up against.

Not that his desire is wrong; wanting to uninstall IE9, and you did give him/her what s/he wanted, but s/he may want to adjust the settings first before taking such drastic action.
On some systems installing 9 over 8, then going back to 8, then going back to 9 can hose the machine.

Some more thoughts on the subject, I offer the oldest one first:

thanks for the replies guys - this is the weirdest problem the computer is so twitchy jumping out of screens and the cursor has a mind of its own at times, I have had all sorts of mis information from my isp....they told me ie9 causes problems with w7 so I uninstalled it..no better so re-installed it. there seems to be a problem with ' cache not at minimum setting, or some sort of setting problem. i tried what you suggested on ie options but no better and when I set it to 50 it defaults back to 250, one of the links taked me to registry booster and it found 150 or so errors but I have to pay for it to fix them, I dont mind if it does the trick

i will post this for now before it jumps out of this page

thanks bob

If I were you I would not mess with this Registry Booster. Those 'programs' are nothing but trouble.

Did you try another browser and does that have the same problem ??

From the symptoms you describe you have bigger problems than just cache properties.

The solutions can run the gamut from:

  • Checking the cards inside your machine.
  • Improper display, mouse settings.
  • Defective touchpad.
  • Outdated drivers.
  • System wide infection.
  • A Pet using the keyboard thus locking in a particular hot key function.
  • A faulty battery back-up UPS ES system.
  • A faulty laptop battery.
  • Corrupted system files necessitating a repair or reinstall of the OS.
But until you offer more information it is difficult at best to know in which direction to go.
Please fill in your system specs: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/180324-system-info-see-your-system-specs.html

Let us know if it is a lap or desktop, net or notebook.
What specifically are you doing when it happens, what programs are you using?

Where did you see?

I agree with whs, you are only asking for trouble using any type of registry "booster".

If you insist on using a cleaner use CCleaner
