Naru, please read all of what I write and try to answer every question, in order to fix this problem:

  • Please tell me what antivirus program you have. Also, update it and run a full system scan.
  • "If you suspect that the streamci.dll error was caused by a change made to an important file or configuration, a System Restore could solve the problem."
  • "If the streamci.dll DLL error occurs when you use a particular program, reinstalling the program should replace the file."
  • Update all drivers. Roll back the last driver you updated (Graphics) as it looks like it is having problems: Device Manager - Roll Back Driver - Vista Forums - This is the Vista website, but it will work for what you need to do.
  • Run SFC scan: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
  • Install all windows updates that you haven't yet installed
Let me know how all of tht works for you. And please let me know what driver(s) you have installed so I can find the correct one for you, and possibly help you remove them. If rolling them back doesn't work, uninstall them. Did you get the possible bad driver from this website: Acer Support: Downloads & Support Documents - Notebook / Aspire / Aspire 6930G?

Alright Naru,

I found the correct driver for you. I didn't realize you were from egypt. They didn't have an egyptian driver, but the closest I found was the "middle east" drivers. The next closest was south african drivers. Here is the link: http://global-download.acer.com/GDF...5009&Step1=Notebook&Step2=Aspire&Step3=Aspire
Make sure you select your correct operating system (Windows ultimate 32bit). It will be listed as VGA and Nvidia. Uninstall any other driver you've installed for the Nvidia card and only use this one.

If you have problems with that driver let me know. It is hard to find region-specific drivers for Egypt. You only needed that one driver, right?

I think the easiest way to update the graphic cards drivers are from the Nvidia's homepage which also offers automatic detection of your driver. The same goes for Intel too. But I am not sure whether the drivers support in Arabic or Indian.

For Nvidia choose Option 2 which detects the driver automatically:
Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

For Intel press the button that says "Check your system for the latest updates":
Intel® Driver Update Utility

At Intel, it also shows the drivers for your Intel chipset, soundcard, Wifi. If there is a new update for your Intel's products you can easily download them and then install them. Other drivers such as sound card and Wifi, I think it is better to go the producer's homepage and get the latest updates.

You don't need to delete anything, the program you download it writes over the old driver. Just download the file and start the installation, at the end you need to restart the pc, thats all.

The Nvidia website doesn't offer region-specific support for you and sometimes the most compatible driver for your specific system is released by your system manufacturer (ACER). But you can try the Nvidia website drivers, it shouldn't be a problem. They are the most current, but there is a chance that they may not work optimally.

Also, you do not need to remove the old Nvidia drivers, but if you wanted to perform a 'clean' install of the drivers, sometimes this will help prevent problems arising from the system updating over the old drivers. Entirely up to you what you want to do here.
