Pathetic country called Philippines.
So, I found this site that says YOU CAN and now my question is: HOW? In my properties in My Computer it says that my laptop is 64-bit capable. I bought a Windows 8.1 CD and I'm always getting this error that says it's for 64-bit and it looks like I have to upgrade my laptop to 64-bit. Can y'all help me because I really want to upgrade it into Windows 8.1?1?

You can't upgrade a 32 to 64 you need to do a clean install and besides your specs show 2 GB of RAM which isn't really enough to run a 64 system which can address more than 4 GB of RAM unlike a 32 system that's limited to 4. Why do you want to go to Win 8.1

Microsoft has never supported an upgrade from a 32 bit to 64 bit OS. A clean install of the OS and all applications would be required. This is a complete replacement of your current OS, not an upgrade. A complete backup of all your data would be highly recommended.

You would need to boot from the install media and follow the instructions. There are tutorials for this so I will not go into further detail. Attempting the install from within your current OS cannot work.

Well, damn. I wasted my money then. I'm doomed! There's a video on YouTube which worked to a hell lot of people that they just installed a Windows 7 64-bit then used the Windows 8.1 x64 CD they bought and it worked for them.

It will work but it will run slow and hang with that little RAM. You can try it.

Why did you buy Windows 8.1, the biggest flop in tech history?

Do you realize that you'll be able to free Upgrade to WIndows 10 at the end of July? Check for Windows Updates now, install all Important and Optional and watch the System Tray to reserved your copy of Windows 10. If no offer appears then follow How to get the Windows 10 upgrade icon if it's missing - CNET

I'd still double my RAM if your processor is at all modern and capable of supporting it. Start by running the Crucial System Scanner software to find out what type of memory is in your computer.

Never mind. I successfully installed Windows 8.1 on my laptop. Now, all I need is an activator. Goddamnit!

Why do you need an activator as it says in your first post you bought a Win 8.1 CD which should have your license number and if not then you bought a counterfeit OS and we can't help you

Lol. I'm using a legit one and not a fake one. I pretty much solved my problem myself. I was seeing "You have to activate your Windows to personalize your blah blah". I saw the product key on the CD I bought. Don't prejudge!
