You just need to do a "clean install" by booting from the 64-bit installation disk.

Back up your data first.

Back up your files, boot the 64 bit installer, choose Custom Install, use Drive Options to delete all partitions, then repartition as desired or just click Next and installer will create your install partition, format and begin.

Even though this tutorial is for factory OEM Win7, it focuses on how to get a perfect reinstall so I would adapt the steps for what you're doing: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Make sure your installer has SP1 to save hours of updating. If not there is one in the tutorial.

Ask back if you have any questions.

I have just clicked on drive options and now i have 3 seperate options
- Disk 0 Partition 1
- Disk 0 Unallocated Space
- Disk 1 partition 1: HD-PEU2

Do i just choose where to install or should i delete something first?

Sorry to be a pain just started to try and build my own gaming pc and it is becoming a bit harder then i first thought

Is Windows 32-bit on Disc 0, partition 1 and is that your current C drive?

If it is, choose that same partition and 64-bit will be installed over the top of 32-bit, wiping 32-bit out completely.

Disk 1 is presumably an external drive?

You could install to the unallocated space, but that would not get rid of 32-bit.

If you click Next after choosing Disk 0 Partition 1 then it should include the unallocated space, formatting one large partition for the whole HD while starting the installation. Is this what happened?

Read over the steps in the tutorial while it installs to ask back any questions you have.
