Rolisonlf, welcome to the forums.

As far as a new video card goes for that computer you are limited to PCI only, there is no PCI-E or an AGP slots on the motherboard,

so you are stuck looking at a PCI card. If you want to add one I wouldn't look at anything more than something like this,

Newegg.com - ECS N8400GS2-512DS-F GeForce 8400 GS 512MB 64-bit DDR2 PCI HDCP Ready Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

which is about the cheapest card your going to find that will have proper support for Windows 7 (that and doesn't cost more than what your entire computer is worth).

The Dimension 1100 has an Intel 865GV chipset, including graphics.

There are no Windows 7 drivers for it:

Graphics — Older Intel® graphics controllers and Microsoft Windows 7* operating system

You may be able to run the XP drivers. They won't support Aero Glass effects, but (in my opinion) that's not a great loss.

As others have remarked, if you want to update the graphics, you'll need a PCI graphics card. (Not PCI Express; that is entirely incompatible.) The ones with the nVidia 8400 chipset are about the least expensive. I wouldn't bother with one, unless you find that you can't live without Aero.
