whats best way to learn how to use windows 7 , talking complete idiot now, so no go to this file and move this here to there stuff , because not even sure what files are ,looking for switch on then move on from a to b finally to z .do Microsoft have a free programme you can follow . would be grateful for some advice ....many thanks

Buy a book for beginners. All information is on the internet.... but I think you don't know what you're looking for.

Let someone teach you the basic stuff... that works best.

Lots of good advice here.


Although perhaps start with working out a few main tasks you need to do and then branch out from there. There is a lot to do on the computer.

Simple things like using the browser, sending an email, watching a video clip, navigating to favourite locations of files, Windows Update etc.

One tip - become familiar with the control panel. Open and close everything you see. You can always cancel out of anything if you think you've gone too far.


And if in doubt, ask :)
