Solved How to use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Hi friends,
i got Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & want to know before i can start running it on my com...my friend told me that before installing it i need to disable my firewall,AV,UAC,disconnect from network etc...then go about it & after scanning uninstall it...How right is he, i want to know....

I just downladed with no problem
Do you have the free version, if so it makes its scan with no preparation necessary.

If this is a cracked version of MBAM, i suppose all the things your friend suggested would make sense. Otherwise if you have downladed the free version or purchased a license, just install, update and run.

And, it doesn't matter what Anti-Virus/firewall you have installed, MBAM should run comfortably.

Well i got the free version & updated it also but was little skeptic about running it...so i guess I'm good & need not do all the listed above i.e. disable my firewall,AV,UAC,disconnect from network etc.

you should keep it updated with the latest definitions, just like your antivirus.

No need to disable your firewall or AV or anything else if its a legit version. Your AV or firewall may throw up some pop-ups rearding the installation of any driver, just allow it. MBAM does install its driver (mbam.sys) to work properly.
