I have an old (very old) program that I just bought that is very useful, but it has caused a bit of a problem (which I fixed), but now it won't run.
When you install the program from CD's, it also installs JAVA v 1.3 (yea, I know, it's ancient). After installation, the program works fine. However, it disables about half the other programs I run because they want the latest JAVA.
I uninstalled the JAVA, reinstalled the latest version, but now the program won't run, saying that it needs JAVA 1.3.
Can I have both versions on my machine at the same time? Or should I separate them on a flash drive or hard drive partition?
I have a Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 machine, 64 bit. 1TB drive with plenty of room. 8 GB RAM
Suggestions, please.
