Solved How: Win7 ISO to USB Flash, bootable.

Right now, I'm formating a new USB flash/thumb (whatever the dang thing is called now adays) on my Vista desktop.

I will be trying to place an already downloaded ISO of Win7 onto it.

I assume all I have to do is format the USB Drive with the option, 'Create an MS-DOS startup disk', selected?

Then use either ISODisk or ImgBurn to transfer the ISO of Win7 to the 16GB USB Flash Drive?

My goal is to use the USB Flash to install Win7 onto a freshly erase and formatted hard drive of my acer aspire laptop which came with Win7 Prem. Home.

If your available, I downloaded the ISO X17-24208,
(http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/x17-24208 with SP1 (bootable))
which is supposed to be Windows 7 Premium Home Edition 32 bit,, and located it on the desktop.

I downloaded and installed the USB Win7 Instal. Key Drive Create,

I thought it was happening but An error message, Please check you USB device and ISO selected (how do I do that!) and try again, I tried again and same thing.

Just completed the above, tired again and got error; selected usb device f;\(removable disk) in use by another program please close all apps and try again,

I rebooted the PC, tried again only to get same result, in use by a DELETE THIS!

EDIT: My error! selected the wrong drive, is now working, thank you soooooooo much for your help! you were a GodSend as they say!!!

The easiest way to create a bootable Windows 7 Installation pendrive is to use WiNToBootic. Unfortunately the author's website is not accessible right at this moment. WiNToBootic - the ultimate Windows 7/8 USB Boot Disk Maker

Next best is to create one using Rufus. Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way

Provided your pendrive is good and your ISO not corrupt, you should sail through happily. Try.
