3 compouters - 2 using w7 home premium and 1 surface pro 3 using w8.1 pro.

Homegroup not being used.

Computers all show in win explorer Network and can share regular folders, files etc. Does not do exactly what I wish.

Objective - put folders I wish to share in a library and share that with only one user(myself) on all machines.

Reason - I am getting old and do not remember as well as I once did. Am also old school and installed Novell networks back in the '80's and '90's. Took computer vacation for 12 years and came back in to win7. Quite frankly it confuses me.

Question - my username and password on all machines is the same. Is this a problem? I can't seem to see that it would be.

Sharing info I have read says you can share with users of other computers, but what "syntax" is used to add them on the sharing screen for "specific person"?

Thanks in advance to any wishing to help with my dilemma,
Dan
