Indeed I can 
HP Deskjet 1280 Printer series - Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center if you have 32 bit Windows
HP Deskjet 1280 Printer series - Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center if you have 64 bit Windows.
They are Vista drivers so follow the instructions here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/98073-drivers-install-vista-drivers-windows-7-a.html to install. (shameless plug of my own tutorial lol)

Unfortunately this doesn't work for me on Win7 Ultimate (64 bit).
Note that for me the printer is connected to a network device. When I choose 'Have Disk' and point to the Vista drivers you linked to above, unzipped to a temp folder, I get the error message:
Any other ideas? @gleonard, did you get this working?
EDIT: I am a numpty. Nevermind me -- it's working now. Thanks very much for the information.

The folder you specified doesn't contain driver software for your device. Select a folder that contains your driver software and try again.

I have been struggling to install my HP Deskjet 1280 printer on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I phoned HP customer support - they couldn't have been less helpful!
Eventually I managed to install the driver for Vista Home Premium 64 bit. It seems to work OK.

I installed my HP DeskJet 1280 as a HP DeskJet 1220C using the default Windows 7 drivers. It works perfectly.
